From Barrow in Furness to Las Palmas Goes the Nuclear Waste Ship Pacific Grebe
For repairs - refitting - who knows?
Thanks to Elfed for heads up on this. The nuclear waste / nuclear fuel carrier the Pacific Grebe has left the nuclear submarine building town of Barrow in Furness. Presumably the Pacific Grebe is empty? It is going to Las Palmas we presume for refitting/repair maybe to get fitted up with unicorn power rather than deisel as nuclear is oh such a “clean energy” ? Pacific Grebe will arrive in Las Palmas on 14th July. Barrow in Furness is also “home” to the other Nuclear Fuel Carriers Pacific Grebe, Pacific Heron and Pacific Egret.
Nuclear Ships that pass in the night - As the Nuclear Waste Ship Pacific Grebe leaves the ship building town of Barrow in Furness for refitting, part of the Dreadnought Nuclear Submarine is trundled through town- image below: https://dreadnoughtalliance.co.uk/2025/07/08/another-milestone-moment-in-barrow-for-dreadnought/
Thanks for this delightful piece of info Marianne
